Arcade Block (May 2015)
After receiving and loving my Classic Nerd Block a couple weeks ago, I decided to give the Arcade Block a shot and in my opinion, it was even better than the Nerd Block.
First up is of course the t-shirt and this month is awesome! It features creatures and monsters from the Final Fantasy series pitted against each other in a Smash Bros/Street Fighter type battle game.
The featured item in this block is a South Park: Stick of Truth figure. I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of South Park at all so I have no interest in this. All I know is I got Kenny and he's dressed like a princess!
This is a wooden magnet featuring Kick Punch, the first song you perform in PaRappa the Rapper. "Don't get cocky, it's gonna get rocky!"
I hardly ever wear hats but when I saw this, that all changed. This military style hat has a subtle Metal Gear Solid reference that mega fans will love. It fit my little head perfectly and I have been wearing it almost every single day this week.
Oh. My. God. This is incredible. An apothecary jar with Zelda style health hearts on it. How fitting! Now where can I find a fairy to put in it!? Or maybe some milk!
Do you get this reference? If you don't, I'm disappointed. Well not really but you should know what it is because it's amazing! I love Mario Kart but I hate those darn blue shells. All I ever end up with when I play are bananas! This sign is going in my car right away. Other drivers beware!
I would say this was a very successful first Arcade Block! I'm really happy I got a multi month subscription and can't wait to see what's in next month's block.

May Beauty Favourites featuring Colourpop (2015)
I don't even know how to officially start this post. I am OBSESSED with this company. I discovered them just last month after hearing a ton of buzz about them on YouTube. They have so many different products from eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers, highlighters and my favorite, lippie stix. And what's the best part you may ask? Everything is between $5-8! So crazy good!

That packaging! |
Blush in Prenup |
Highlighters! |
L to R: Lunch Money, Smoke N Whistles and Hippo |
Highlighters are one of my favourite beauty products! They just add the most beautiful glow to your cheekbones. I decided to try three different shades from this collection. One gold champagne, one pink champagne and one gorgeous lavender shade. They are all wonderful on my fair skin but they also have so many different shades available that will suit every skin tone.
Lippie Stix |
I have managed to purchase nine of these lippie stix since last month. It's so hard to resist when you know they are only $5! They have so many different shades and a couple different formulas ranging from matte, satin, cream, glossy and hyper glossy. I love the bullet pencil form of these lip products. They are so easy to use and get the product precisely on the lips.
Another thing I must mention is that with every order you get a hand written note. Yes, a hand written note! Who does that anymore!? It is such a personal touch and they always make me giggle.
And that concludes my monthly favourites and my spotlight on the wonderful company that is Colourpop. Let me know if you have ever tried out these products before and if you love them as much as I do!

Funko Pop Vinyl (Attack on Titan)
Welcome to yet another one of my collection addictions! Funko Pop Vinyls are 3" collectable figures from various film, television and comic series. My favorite ones to collect are Disney (of course!), superhero and anime figures. More will be featured on those in later posts!
The first collection I wanted to feature is from an anime called Attack on Titan. I started to really get into watching anime just last year and this was the first series I decided to watch because I heard SO much about it on social media. This is an amazing, emotional and quite graphic anime about humanity living inside a huge walled off community protected from ginormous titans that eat humans for no apparent reason. I know, it sounds really disturbing but I highly recommend you watch this if you're into anime and don't mind a little animated blood and gore!
Eren Yeager (Main character who works for the Survey Corps to fight off Titans outside the city walls) |
**** Titan (Can't give details on this one as I don't want to ruin a sub plot in the anime) |
Mikasa Ackerman (Eren's adopted sister who also works for the Survey Corps) |
The only one from this collection I'm missing is the 6" Colossal Titan because I haven't been able to find him yet. But I'm hoping to get my hands on that one shortly. Let me know if you're an Attack on Titan fan and who your favorite character is! Mine would have to be Levi and I really hope one day they make a figure for him as well.

Nerd Block (May 2015)
Warning: Do not read this post if you are waiting for your box to arrive and don't want to ruin the surprises that are inside!
This is my very first Nerd Block and I had been anxiously awaiting it because this month's theme is Ani-May! Get it... anime... ha... Anyway, here is a look at the goodies that awaited me inside this magically nerdy box.
First up was a Gundam t-shirt. Every month you will always receive a t-shirt, which I think is fantastic. I have an enormous t-shirt collection from over the years so I was really excited to find this out. Now I am a fan of anime but I definitely do not know every series or every manga. This happened to be one I don't know much about but I have to say this is a pretty sweet looking shirt that I will definitely be wearing.
When I removed the t-shirt and seen a Funko Pop Vinyl underneath, I nearly lost my mind. I LOVE these figures. My collection has grown to over 100 plus now and there's no stopping any time soon. I watched a little bit of Dragonball Z when I was a teen so I know who Piccolo is and I'm more then happy to add him to my collection. Also, look out for a Funko Pop Vinyl post coming up next week!

Many people will be familiar with everyone's favorite neighbor Totoro! These buttons are a cute addition to the box. I'm not really sure where I will put them but they are adorable.
I haven't worn a bandana since I was a kid but this one is actually pretty sweet. This is a Cowboy Bebop themed "brandana" that can actually be worn in multiple ways. I can see myself getting the most use out of this as a folded headband, as I wear those almost on a daily basis.
Getting a manga in this box was a brilliant touch. Evangelion is another series I am not familiar with but I look forward to giving this a read and finding out what it is all about!
I have saved the best for last. Well it's the best thing in my opinion. Attack on Titan is a huge favorite of mine and when I seen this cinch bag, I may have done a little happy dance. This displays a scout regiment symbol on the back and every time I wear this, I will pretend I'm on my way to destroying titans.
That's all for May! Overall I'm very happy with what was inside this month's box. I already can't wait to get next month's box, which is British Invasion themed if anyone is interested in getting one.
Have a lovely day!

April Beauty Favourites (2015)
April has come and gone with its many showers. But it has also brought more monthly favorites! Lets just jump right in shall we?
Tarte Tartelette Palette |
Such gorgeous shades! |
This has been my go to eyeshadow palette all last month! I have never been into matte eyeshadows that much but recently, there's something about them that is so appealing. They are great for every day use and they give you the option to pair them with a shimmery blush or a bold lipstick. The middle row are my favourite shades in the palette.
Two Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick Top - Melted Strawberry Bottom - Melted Fig |
Speaking of a bold lip, I adore these lip products. They have a sponge applicator on the end which makes them seems like they would be slightly difficult to work with but that is not the case. They are super pigmented and not drying at all like some other liquid lipstick formulas can be. They also have a wide range of colours to choose from so there is something appealing for everyone!
Clinique Cheek Pop in Pansy Pop |
These are the cutest little flower shaped blushes I have ever seen. They recently released new shades for the spring/summer and this was the first one to catch my eye. They have such long wearing colour that can be worn sheer or built up, depending on what you like. I find they give the perfect amount of natural colour to the cheeks.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer |
Now you are probably wondering "How can a product be weightless and full coverage at the same time?" Well I can't explain it but it is completely true. It is so lightweight on the skin but it provides the perfect amount of coverage. It conceals my imperfections but never cakes on my skin. It works beautifully under the eyes as well to brighten and conceal dark circles. If there ever were a miracle worker, this would be it!
Caudalie Beauty Elixir |
I have been a big fan of this product for a while. Filled with plant active ingredients, it's the perfect "drink of water" your skin needs when it's feeling dry. It's light, refreshing and works wonderful under your moisturizer or even on its own. Sometimes I even give my face a quick spray when it's feeling a little warm.
Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish in Porchester Square |
This is not your typical spring colour but I love grey nail polishes with hints of lavender/purple. The gel effect gives the polish a lovely glossy finish and makes the polish last quite a long time on the nails. The only thing I find tricky is the wide brush inside. I have really tiny hands and fingers so sometimes I can get a little sloppy. But I'll take it for the gorgeous colors!
Bumble and Bumble Repair Blow Dry Serum |
I absolutely hate blow drying my hair! It takes forever with my super wavy and thick mane and I don't like the way it makes my hair feel afterwards. But with this gem, it makes the process a bit more bearable. This product protects your hair from heat and breakage and leaves it feeling soft and silky smooth when you are finished.
And that concludes my favorites for this month. Hope everyone has a lovely day!
