Be Our Guest Restaurant (Walt Disney World)

On my most recent trip to Walt Disney World in Florida, I was finally able to have dinner at Be Our Guest restaurant in New Fantasyland of the Magic Kingdom park. I only had to get up at 6:00am about 6 months before my vacation to be able to make a reservation. No big deal!

Beast's castle in the distance

Gargoyle in the walkway
This was absolutely one of the most magical restaurants I have experienced in my three trips to WDW. You are greeted at the double doors by a host and one of Lumiere's cousins to guide you to your table.

When you get inside, there is a beautiful stain glass portrait of Belle and the Beast dancing under the enchanted rose. Breathtaking!

In the dining area there are three sections. Front row and center is the Grand Ballroom that everyone will be familiar with if you're a fan of the movie. To the right is the Castle Gallery inspired by Belle's library. To the left, and where we had the privilege of dining is the West Wing. As you know, it is forbidden to go into the West Wing so I was honored to be allowed in.

Inside the West Wing, you will see the torn portrait of the Beast while he was still a handsome prince. But every ten minutes, lighting strikes and if you glance at the portrait at the right moment, you may catch a glimpse of the Beast himself!

Also in the corner of the room, you will see the enchanted rose and magic mirror. The petals actually do fall from the flower. So magical!

I didn't take any pictures of my meal but, I did take a picture of the beautiful napkin display and of course the delicious desserts! Can you take a wild guess as to what I might have had? Take a look!

The Grey Stuff! It was indeed delicious!
My mom had a Lemon Meringue Cupcake!
And if that wasn't fantastic enough, when you have finished your meal and are on your way out, the Beast is waiting to bid you farewell. What a swell guy!

He's so big and fluffy!
I can't wait to dine at Be Our Guest restaurant again when we return to WDW! Fingers crossed next time we get to dine in the Grand Ballroom.

Lazy Caturday

As the title suggests, Bubba and I are having a very lazy Saturday. We did some light cleaning around the house then decided we would have a movie marathon day. First we watched Interstellar, which was pretty stellar. Then we watched Horrible Bosses 2, which was pretty comical. Now we're going to watch The Maze Runner. Hope it's just as good as the first two movies!

Funny Friday (Scare/Prank Edition)

This video seriously cracks me up every time I watch it. Uploaded on Joe Sugg's (ThatcherJoe on YouTube) vlog channel, it's basically footage of every time he's scared or pranked his friend Oli on camera. Hope this gives you a laugh too!

Super Mario Brothers (SMB) amiibo - Wave 1

These little figures created by Nintendo are a serious addiction, well to me anyway. I have been a fan of Nintendo ever since I was a kid and I first came across the Super Smash Brothers (SSB) figures around Christmas time. I thought to myself "I'm just going to get Yoshi because he's my favorite". Then one led to a couple more, then a couple more until I ended up collecting them all. It's like Lay's chips, you can't have just one!

I wanted to collect this specific line because one of my all time favorite games is Mario Party and this line came out at the exact same time as the new Mario Party 10 game for the Wii U! I have been really enjoying this game. I play it with friends and family constantly and the amiibo functionality in the game is great.

I've noticed some differences in size and appearance between the SSB figures and SMB figures. The SSB figures look more realistic and are smaller where the SMB figures look more cartoon like and are bigger, which is actually fitting for the game they are associated with. Below are some comparison pictures!

SMB Mario vs SSB Mario

SMB Luigi vs SSB Luigi
SMB Yoshi vs SSB Yoshi
SMB Peach vs SSB Peach
SMB Bowser vs SSB Bowser
SMB Toad (He has no SSB counterpart)

I actually really like the SMB line and the more cartoon look. It reminds me of the classic games I was so used to playing as a kid. I hope you enjoy them too. Let me know if you've caught the amiibo bug as well!

Caturday the 18th!

Soaking up the sunshine!

One of Bubba's favorite pastimes is laying by the back door in the sun. And now that we are finally starting to get some nice weather, this is becoming a regular occurrence. He loves it even more when we get to open the windows and let the fresh air in. I am looking forward to that myself and am so happy to see the sunshine more and more every day!

Follow Friday (Jaclyn Hill)

This girl is seriously the bomb. I discovered her YouTube channel well over a year ago and have been in love with her ever since. She is one of the most talented makeup artists/beauty vloggers around but on top of that, she is an incredibly down to earth person. Now I don't know her on a personal level but after connecting with her on social media, this is definitely the vibe I get.

I love to reference her videos when trying to create makeup looks. I have found so many of my "holy grail" products and discovered the wonder of Sigma brushes because of this lovely lady. And let me tell you, it's not a good makeup day for me if Jaclyn isn't mentioned at least once!

I specifically chose to feature this video above because I finally got around to grabbing a Tartelette palette during the VIB Rouge sale at Sephora and I definitely want to recreate this look! If you have time, check out her other videos as well. They are all fantastic and make sure you stay until the very end. You never know when she's going to throw in hilarious bloopers that make you belly laugh!

I would love to be able to meet her one day and get a big, giant hug and just chat about anything from makeup to food to Gossip Girl. Mad love Jaclyn and in your words "You keep doing you boo!"

First Caturday!

Welcome to the first Caturday! I thought we'd throw it way back for this one.

First day in his forever home!

This is my ginger tabby who is often nicknamed "Bubba". So when I refer to Bubba, this is the little guy I'm talking about! He's no longer this tiny, although I wish he still was, but he's just as cute! Maybe a little, well a lot, tubbier too.

See you next Caturday!

Follow Me Friday (April 10th)

Good day lovelies!

I hope you're all having a wonderful Friday so far. I know it is most people's favorite day of the week!

Rain, rain, go away

As you can see, it's a very rainy and cold day here today. I almost wanted to go back inside the house as soon as I went outside. Yuck!

Yum!

But I couldn't do that because I had lunch to get to! We took a drive over to East Side Mario's, one of my favorite restaurants. I must have been Italian in a former life. I can never get enough pasta and pizza in my life! And who doesn't love all you can eat salad and garlic bread!?

My gamer side is SO excited!

Today was also the release day of Xenoblade Chronicles for the New Nintendo 3DS! I picked up a new limited edition Majora's Mask console about two weeks ago and it is fantastic. The 3D support on this console compared to the old console is a major improvement. And since there was a sale happening, I decided to pick up a copy of Code Name: Steam too. I have a couple amiibo on pre order coming next month that are supported in this game. More information on those to come!

And now that I'm back inside my warm house, I'm going to grab some blankets, curl up and watch Netflix. I see that the new series Daredevil is finally up and being a Marvel super fan, I think that's exactly what I'm going to watch!

March Beauty Favourites (2015)

I'm so excited to be sharing my first favourites post! I have a feeling narrowing products down month by month will be a challenge for me because there are always so many things to love. But I'm going to give it a shot so, here we go!

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water

First up is Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water. I love multi use products because it gives you more bang for your buck. Where I live it's been a particularly harsh, dry winter and it has taken a toll on my skin. I spray this on my face and let it sink in before applying my foundation or BB cream and it does wonders. Bye bye dry patches! This is a fantastic product for those with dry skin.

Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Crème & New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel

Top - Lip Crème in Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang
Bottom - Lip Gel in Eat Cake

These new Marc Jacobs lip products are one of the best I've tried in a long time. The colours are so pigmented (even some of the nude lip gels!), they are very long lasting and they don't dry out your lips. I received another one for my birthday from one of my best friends called 'Boy Gorgeous' and I can't wait to get some more already!

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
I am super picky when it comes to mascaras. I have a drawer full of sample sizes because I have a hard time committing to a full size. I can never find the "perfect" mascara but, I think I've finally come close! I usually have to curl my lashes as they lay a little flat but not with this bad boy. It gives such lift to the lashes and so much volume without all those nasty clumps. It's a keeper for sure!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette

Left to Right - Luminous Flush, Incandescent Electra, Mood Exposure
I received this blush palette over the holidays and it has been my go to this month. The colors are absolutely beautiful and give such a glow on the skin because they are mixed with Hourglass' Ambient Lighting Powders. I don't think this palette is available for sale anymore but the good news is you can buy these colors as individuals! Even the exclusive palette shade Incandescent Electra has been rumored to be released in the next month or so.

GlamGlow ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment
Back on the subject of dry skin again! This has also been a life saver this winter. I will slather this stuff on my face and leave it on all evening until I'm ready for bed. It leaves my skin feeling so hydrated and refreshed. You can technically use this as an overnight mask and sleep with it on if you want, but I don't want sticky pillows in the morning! It is a more expensive product but worth every penny in my opinion.

Moroccan Oil Frizz Control Spray
I have super wavy natural curls in my hair which is usually my go to style because lets be honest, it's so much work to heat style your hair every day. This stuff not only smells delicious but works wonders for taming those frizzy hairs. Just give a few quick sprays, massage into your hair and you are good to go!

Formula X The Colors in Revved Up
Rose gold has been such a trend this past year and I adore it! It appears everywhere from jewelry to watches and now nail polish. I used to be a real nail polish hoarder but have been trying to cut back. I couldn't resist when I saw this beautiful color though! It's a fairly long wearing color, it does chip a little after a few days and it has a lovely metallic sheen to it. It will be a great color for spring!

And that concludes my March favorites! I already can't wait to do this all again next month. Have a lovely day!

Official Warm Welcome!

I did it! I finally got my act together and started the blog I always talked to my friends about writing. Now I can't make any promises as to how often I will be posting, but I wanted to give you a little idea as to what I will be posting when I do so.

Here's the scoop!

At the beginning of every month, I will be posting my monthly beauty, and sometimes random, favorite products. This will include make up, skin care, hair care, as well as books, television, movies, gaming and so on.

On Friday's I was thinking it would be fun to do one of the following posts:
Follow Friday - A recommendation of someone in the social media presence who I think would be neat for others to check out.
Follow Me Friday - A day in my life. If I'm doing something that seems worthy of pictures for a blog post, I'll whip out the camera and showed you all the mischief I was up to that day.
Funny Friday - A picture or video post of something that made me chuckle that particular day.

Saturday's will hereby be deemed "Caturday's". You will get a sneak peak into the luxurious life of my fur baby. He's a spoiled rotten but absolutely adorable ginger tabby cat. I hope you love him as much as I do!

In between these posts, I would love to talk about things I collect. I've been a huge collector pretty much all my life. Once I start collecting something, I fully immerse myself into the hunt of finding certain products. It's almost an addiction! My main collections include funko pop vinyls, nintendo amiibo figures, various lego sets, itty bittys and vinylmations. More information on these things to come!

And last but not least, we have to talk about Disney. Anyone who knows me on a personal level knows how much of a Disney addict I am. My favorite place on earth is Walt Disney World in Florida. I've been three times in the last four years and I still plan to go back 100 more times in the future. So don't be surprised if some Disney news or Disney pictures pop up here and there on this blog.

Those are my goals so far. This could potentially expand the more I get into blogging, it's all very new to me right now but I think I will get the hang of it. Bare with me until then!

Have a lovely day everyone and I hope you enjoy!
